Although it's only 31 degrees today in the Twin Cities, it feels a lot like summer to nearly 40,000 members of Kenny Chesney's No Shoes Nation. Tickets for the July 12 show at Target Field in Minneapolis were snapped up by fans in a mere 30 minutes.
Chesney, the 4 time CMA and 4 time ACM Entertainer of the year said, "The fans in Minnesota bring a lot of passion and energy to our summer. They truly represent what No Shoes Nation is all about." Last month Chesney was honored with the Billboard 'Top Package' Award for the year's top-grossing tour with three or more artists on the bill (sales of his 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour hit 0 million) and the "Road Warrior" Award, celebrating uncommon work ethic, professionalism and artistic integrity on the road. It is his seventh "Top Package" and ninth Billboard Touring award overall.
With yesterday's announcement of an additional show in Foxboro, Chesney will play 18 stadium shows next year bringing his career total to 101 stadiums. The 'No Shoes Nation' Tour, kicks off Saturday, March 16 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
The Corona Light Presents Kenny Chesney's 'No Shoes Nation' Tour, starring Kenny Chesney, will feature special guest Eric Church - whose critically-acclaimed album 'Chief' was named 'Album of the Year' at the 2012 CMA Awards - as well as Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves.
